We Made It!!!

After two days of travel, we have arrived in Spanish Wells, Bahamas! We had a great couple of days as a family just traveling together, and we were able to stay with a friend overnight in Miami and meet his family and friends as well.

What fun to walk out onto the tarmac and climb the steps into the propeller plane. Maybe there was a little hesitation on Rebekah's part? =0}

Here is our first view of the beautiful Bahaman waters...

Our first walk on the shore. Not exactly a good place to swim, but we are hoping to find a good beach sometime! Danny had fun finding conch shells and looking at their eyeballs. lol

Can you find its eyeballs?

Because of Scott's travels as a preacher, we get to see and do some amazing things. Best of all, we get to meet the Lord's people all over the place and serve Him together with them. Please pray for our trip if you think of it. After 2 days of travel, Scott spoke for the first time tonight. He's pretty tired! In the morning he will be accompanying a brother to visit shut-ins here on the island. The opportunities abound! It looks like he will be speaking 5 meeting a week at least while we are here. We are looking forward to study time when the kids can do school work, and Scott and I will be able to put together new series of messages.

When we arrived today, one of the sisters here had cooked us lunch. We were SO hungry (we got in about 2:30) and it was wonderful! We sat to eat and discussed how blessed we felt, and so after lunch Rebekah suggested singing this song, so we did. We sang it far too low, and messed up some of the words, but it was sweet to praise the Lord together!

Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! hail Him! highest archangels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children,
In His arms He carries them all day long:
Praise Him! praise Him! tell of His excellent greatness;
Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!

Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus our blessed Redeemer!
For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died;
He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus the Crucified.
Sound His praises! Jesus who bore our sorrows,
Love unbounded, wonderful, deep and strong:
Praise Him! praise Him! tell of His excellent greatness;
Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!

Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus our blessed Redeemer!
Heavenly portals loud with hosannas ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever;
Crown Him! crown Him! Prophet, and Priest, and King!
Christ is coming! over the world victorious,
Power and glory unto the Lord belong:
Praise Him! praise Him! tell of His excellent greatness;
Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!
