I looked and looked
I had something to share
I looked all over
and no one was there
no one was lost
no one had need
no one was crying
no use for my seed
I saved this seed
all of my life
I sowed it not
too busy with strife
too busy with work
too busy at home
too busy with hobbies
too busy to roam
no time for the gospel
I couldn't fit it in
I was not an evangelist
I just kept this bin
A bin with the seed
the power of God
unto salvation
to scatter abroad
I'd say they don't care
they didn't want to hear
they wouldn't have listened
might've been my fear!
As it turned out
I didn't go tell
the story of Jesus
to those bound for Hell
Well, now I'm in Heaven
and what shall I do?
I can only just wish
I'd invited some too.
If you are glad to know the Lord Jesus and have hope of eternal life, then lets tell others about Him while the opportunity is still here. Our leader wants more souls to be saved. Let's go get them for Him, by His grace and strength and for His glory!

Danny: (laughing)
"Mom, I have a vocabulary word that totally describes me.
Impulsive: acting upon a sudden notion
I also have one that is not me at all!

compromise
"Mom, we need help because we can't figure out what to do." (tears and sobs)
Danny: "Well, you see, I want a slave for my office, and I thought Rebekah could be my slave. But she will only be my slave if she can leave my office and I really want a slave who will be there all the time - so I chose someone else." (must be that other invisible sister)
Mom: "Well, if you are going to play together, you need to learn to compromise. And not just one of you - both of you. What about if Rebekah is your slave (am I really saying this?) whom you give special permission to leave sometimes. She can't just leave whenever she wants (since she's a slave), but you give her certain times when she can leave the office. (I think it's a lego office) "
Rebekah: "Okay, but I'll only agree if we can have a new secret handshake."
That compromise is still under discussion...

Isn't he sweet?
"Just think, honey. Tonight you can look up at the sky and know that we'll both be basking under the glow of the same Indian's game."

It's Sunday, and as I glance over my calendar, I already am thinking, "Are you kidding me? How on earth am I going to get all this done?" The thing is - I've already talked with some of you today, and I know you're in the exact same place as I am!!! And it's awesome, because I fully know the reason: it's because you're pouring out your life; for the Lord's people, for the lost, for your families! None of these things are insignificant, and we desperately need God's people to be laborers!
But let's not let ourselves feel overwhelmed this week. Let's be an encouragement to one another, and rely on the Good Shepherd who knows perfectly how to care for His sheep... even the busy ones :)

In Christ...
I was studying the other day about the difference in 'religion' and having a true relationship with Christ. I couldn't help but be SO encouraged by all the blessings we can have through the Lord Jesus. John 1:12 says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." And for those who have done just that, we get to be partakers of all these wonderful promises!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNE!!!
It's a huge blessing in life when you find a friend - a true friend
who you can talk with
cry with
laugh with
sit quietly with
pray with
joke with
share your deepest secrets with
and be safe with
be encouraged by
be blessed by
and call for whatever, whenever
and it's even better than that when that friend is also a sister!
Happy Birthday Anne - I love you!!!

We had such a fun weekend! It all started with a party on Friday night - enjoying our last night with Jere and Reagan here at the house. ( we miss them) We had a fire in the pit, made s'mores with Reese's peanut butter cups, sent the kids to bed, and then hung out. I didn't get pictures, but Jere did, so maybe he'll post them :)
Saturday started with soccer games. Rebekah's was first - here are some of the highlights!
Rebekah loves to play goalie! She has NO FEAR of the ball, or the feet, which is so foreign to me. I was always so afraid to get hit in the face. The goalie pinney is way too big for her, so she just hangs the thing around her neck - it cracks me up. The rest of the little kids are just always hiking it up the whole time.
This is Rebekah as goalie when she gets bored. Her team is really good - undefeated - so she gets a nice rest! Once she told us she likes to be goalie because she doesn't sweat!
It was introduction day. The kids loved to have their names announced and run down the line smacking all the hands! What fun! Rebekah even tucked in her shirt for this special occasion :)
Rebekah is very quick and aggressive. She tends to lead the pack. This effort led to a goal.
... and so did this one!
We do see a lot of pulling up of the socks also.

Then on Sunday, we had a great day also! The morning at the chapel was great! It is so amazing to come together to remember the Lord when all the saints are prepared and the Holy Spirit is obviously leading in worship. I was very blessed by the Word and a great time of fellowship.

Thank you Uncle Todd for spending Sunday afternoon with the kids. It is always fun to be spoiled by an uncle! They went out for a special lunch at one of those Japanese places where they grill in front of you and you get to catch the shrimp in your mouth. It was very exciting! Then there was Monopoly, playing with the dog, and putt-putt too! Wow, what a day!

On Monday I was so tired from all that's been going on lately! We've been up so late and the puppy wakes me up more than I would like! Scott came home with these nice surprises for me! Roses, a special ordered CD of Erin O'Donnell, and he made me a hot Chai! Mmmmm.... I love this guy! He knows what I like :)
So, in all it was a great weekend! Full of friends, fun and fellowship... and ending with gifts! Now, can it get any better than that :) I thank the Lord for such a full life that He has given us. Each day is a gift to cherish from Him!
